Replacement mangle rollers

They are available on ebay but due to their size are pick-up only and I suspect that any with a rubber roller of any age would be suffering from the same complaint as mine. I have an old mangle with wooden rollers. Sadly the rollers are in very poor condition and either need replacing or resurfacing.

Anyone got any experience of making or refurbishing rollers and are willing to give me some advice.
